Fresh seafood, fried to perfect. Superb service. The server brought water for my dog to make sure she is not overheated. We didn't see the fries at the bottom of the basket (covered by a huge pile of fried seafood) so my son went to ask for it. Not only did they bring the fries in no time, but also gave us a free ice cream!!! BTW, awesome ice cream. The mint left ice cream is incredible!!!
Quintessential New England fried seafood joint with an ice cream shop to boot. Definitely has a mix of classic and modern. Very clean picnic tables outside. Very interesting ice cream flavors including dark chocolate, coffee pow, even a goats milk one. Also good old soft serve.
Best of all in the outlets is the fantastic old times Bob’s Clam Hut. The menu is the same as any other seafood shack, but not only are the clams great, the lobster rolls are large and in charge (that means good) too. There’s a massive outdoor seating area that is covered to stay out of the rain too.
My family and I asked around on where we could find the best lobster and this is the place that was suggested. Apparently they thought we were talking about lobster rolls. I give it 3 stars because I had the calamari and clam chowder soup. The calamari was very plain and didn't taste that good. The clam chowder was very watery, I like mine a little thick. My daughter had the hot dog, not a sea food fan, and she did not like it. She would only eat one bite. My husband had a burger, not a sea food fan either, and he said it was pretty good. My husbands uncle had a lobster salad and said it was good. My mother had the haddock and said it was very good. I tried a bite of her haddock and I agree, it was rather tasty. I didn't like what I got but I will definitely go back and try something else.
Take a break from shopping at the outlets and pop into Bob's for the best Maine seafood around. The lobster roll is everything, be sure to add a side of sweet potato fries and clam chowder. Plenty of seating inside but if the sun is out grab a seat outside and chill.
